A burst pipe can be an annoying problem for any Las Vegas homeowner to have to deal with. If you have a burst pipe or pipes, it is important to stop the leaking right away. Here are some instructions for temporarily stopping a leaky pipe.

1. First, you need to turn off the supply of water that is going to the leaky pipe and fitting. If you are unsure of the location of the water, than it may be necessary to turn of the water supply for the entire home.

2. Next, turn on the cold taps in order to drain the system.

3. Then, turn off the water heating systems.

4. Now, you need to turn off the hot water taps in order to drain the system.

5. If the leaking pipe is in close proximity to any electrical appliances, it should be considered dangerous and you will need to shut off the main power supply immediately.

6. Try to find the hole from which the leaking water is coming from. Using gapless tape, seal the hole. Apply pressure using a piece of rubber and securing it to the gapless tape.

7. In order to stop any further damage to your property, the best coarse of action is to do a complete repair on the leaky pipe.
