A clogged sink is something that most people will have to deal with at some point. The good news is that there are several things that you can do to unclog your sink. Below are some tips for unclogging your sink:
Boiling Water
One of the simplest things that you can do to unclog your drain is to pour boiling water in it. You will need to pour a little bit of water in the sink at a time.
Baking Soda And Vinegar
You will need 1/3 cup of vinegar and 1/3 cup of baking soda. Once you create the mixture, you should immediately pour it down the sink because it will fizz quickly. The fizzing action helps remove grime, hair and gunk from the sink. You will need to allow this mixture to sit for at least one hour. Ideally, you should allow the mixture to sit overnight.
Salt And Baking Soda
You will need to ½ baking soda and ½ cup of table salt. You will need to allow the mixture to sit for 10 to 20 minutes and then pour it down the sink along with some boiling water. The boiling water, salt and baking soda will create a reaction that will help unclog the sink.
When To See A Plumber
If you cannot clog the drain with home methods, then you should contact a plumber.
