????????????Recognizing when you water heater is on it’s last legs

Your home’s water heater is generally ignored. Yet, there it sits day in and day out providing you with hot water for showers, to wash dishes, do laundry, and more. Considering how many times per day you use hot water, it’s really no surprised why it’s an emergency when your hot water heater breaks.

At Service Plus Plumbing of Las Vegas, we recommend that all of our customers schedule at least a yearly service appointment. While there, our technicians will inspect the anode rods, flush out the tank, check for any gas leaks, and look for rust.

Many homeowners skip this annual maintenance thinking that it will save them money, but this simply isn’t true. Catching issues before they become a problem and flushing out your water heater tank will make the unit last longer.

In between our yearly visits, you should always give us a call if you notice any of the following:
– Discolored water
– Smelly water
– Water doesn’t get as hot as it once did
– You don’t have as much hot water
– Higher utility bills
– Water leaking around the tank
– Rust on the tank
All of these are signs that your tank is in need of an emergency repair. While there, our technicians can counsel you if you should repair or just replace the unit.
